Refund Policy
Effective Date: January 11, 2026
Last Updated: January 11, 2026
TicketClap acts as an intermediary platform facilitating ticket bookings between you (the buyer) and event organizers/venues. All refunds are subject to the event organizer's policy, applicable laws, and this Refund Policy.
We strive to process eligible refunds promptly and transparently. Convenience fees, processing charges, and taxes are generally non-refundable unless the entire event is cancelled by the organizer.
1. Event Cancellation by Organizer
If the event organizer cancels the event completely:
- You are eligible for a **full refund** of the ticket face value (base price).
- Convenience fees, payment gateway charges, and taxes are **non-refundable** unless the organizer decides otherwise.
- Refunds are initiated automatically by TicketClap upon confirmation from the organizer.
- Processing time: Within **5-10 business days** from the date of cancellation announcement. Additional time (3-10 days) may be taken by your bank/payment provider to credit the amount.
- Refund will be credited to the **original payment method** used for booking.
2. Event Postponement / Rescheduling / Date, Time or Venue Change
If the event is postponed or details are changed by the organizer:
- Your original ticket remains **valid** for the rescheduled date, time, and/or venue in most cases.
- If you are unable to attend the new schedule, you may be eligible for a refund **only if** the organizer permits it.
- Refund requests (if allowed) must typically be submitted within **7-14 days** of the official announcement via your TicketClap account.
- Convenience fees and other charges remain **non-refundable**.
- Please check the specific event page or contact support for organizer-specific rules.
3. User-Initiated Cancellations / No-Shows
TicketClap does not offer a general cancellation or refund facility unless explicitly provided by the event organizer.
- Non-refundable events — Marked as "Non-Refundable" on the event page: No refunds for any reason (including personal circumstances, change of mind, or no-show).
- Flexible/Refundable events — If the organizer allows refunds, terms will be clearly stated on the event page (e.g., full/partial refund if cancelled 48-72 hours before the event, minus convenience fees and charges).
- Always review the "Refund Policy" section on the individual event page before booking — this is the binding policy for that event.
4. Refund Processing & Timelines
Once approved:
- Refund is processed to the original payment method (credit/debit card, net banking, UPI, wallet, etc.).
- Timeline: **5-10 business days** from initiation (may vary based on payment gateway and bank). Some refunds reflect in 3-5 days; others up to 15-20 days during peak periods.
- You can track refund status in your TicketClap account under "My Bookings" > "Refund Status".
- No cash refunds are issued.
5. How to Request a Refund
For eligible refunds (user-initiated or organizer-permitted):
- Log in to your TicketClap account.
- Go to "My Bookings".
- Select the relevant booking.
- Click "Request Refund" (visible only if eligible per event policy).
- Follow the on-screen instructions and submit.
For organizer cancellations/postponements, refunds are usually automatic — no request is needed.
