About this place
Laid out in 1870 by Major General Richard Sankey and later named after Sir Mark Cubbon, Cubbon Park is Bengaluru's main central green space, spread across 300 acres in the heart of the city. Within it sit the red Italianate Seshadri Iyer Memorial Hall (the State Central Library), the Government Museum, the Sri Chamarajendra Park bandstand and dozens of heritage trees.
